ORAL HYGIENE

Oral health care is very important in your overall health and well-being, and it is important to keep your mouth in good shape. Prevention is always better than a cure. Conducting a thorough oral hygiene routine is very important in maintaining optimal oral health and preventing oral disease and decay.

Poor oral health not only affects the health of your gums and teeth but also impacts on your general health with links to heart disease and stroke to name a few.

Here at Garners Dental we are very focused on the implementation of a preventative care program and helping each of our patients obtain an optimal level of oral health. A thorough oral health care routine should include brushing twice daily and flossing to remove all bacterial plaque and maintain a clean tooth surface. Regular visits to the dentist for preventative care check-ups and a professional clean are also vital in any oral health routine. A visit every 6 months is recommended allowing for the diagnosis of potential oral health issues in their early stages and a professional clean.
